Welcome to Central Coast Lavender Farm
Central Coast Lavender is a Certified Organic Lavender Farm located at the heart of California's central coast in the wine region of Paso Robles. With a backdrop of rolling vineyards, our lavender plants thrive along side the Salinas River.
Our south facing rows provide the desired climate and growing conditions for these Mediterranean natives. With a micro climate intent on high heat, full sun and well drained sandy soil our 13,000 lavender plants feel right at home.
We are a small, family run farm with the desire to share our love of nature and the goodness of home grown, hand made items. Every thing here at the fields is developed and crafted from the ground up. Our signature products are always made with the finest, all natural ingredients and customer satisfaction in mind.
Central Coast Lavender is naturally grown without the use of chemicals or pesticides. We are a certified organic farm practicing sustainable, green and biodynamic framing. With our friends and fellow farmers we share in the love of lavender with several other lavender farms from San Diego, California to Sequim, Washington.
We grow several cultivars of lavender but primarily grow both the angustifolia's and the intermedia's. We love the L. Angustifolia or "english lavender" for its precious healing oil, its finely sweet culinary flowers, edible leaves and buds and for its early bloom. We also grow another favorite, the L. x intermedia Grosso for its distinctive camphoric essential oil and for wands , buds and sachets. Along with the wonderful L. x intermedia Provence, a tall culinary herb that offers a unique oil and culinary taste.
We take pride in providing quality by preparing our items in small batches complete with a hand wrap. It is my hope that our customers find the sweet whisper of Mother Nature and a serene comfort in the products we sell and in visiting the farm seasonaly.
Lavender Harvest Celebration at
Central
Coast Lavender Farm
Each year we open our farm to the public by invitation for two weekends, generally the second weekend in June and again the second weekend in July, depending upon the harvest that year. This celebration gives us the opportunity to share with you personally the beauty of our lavender fields and the love that goes into the growing, harvesting and development of our goods.
This is a pleasurable festival for the entire family with tours of the fields, distilling demonstrations, samplings of lavender goodies, lectures on the growing and uses of lavender and more! Please join our mailing list to receive your invitation to our next Lavender Harvest Celebration or check back here on our website for the posting of the 2009 Lavender Harvest Celebration dates.
